Continuous Casting Flux Supply Device
Continuous casting equipment is installed within steelmaking plants and is applied to processes following the converter. In the continuous casting process, molten steel is poured into a mold. A silicate-based flux is added to the surface of the molten steel in the mold. This flux covers the molten steel surface to prevent heat loss and absorbs non-metallic inclusions that rise to the surface. The flux also flows between the mold and the slab, providing lubrication between the vibrating mold and slab to prevent the slab from sticking, while simultaneously mitigating the rapid decrease in surface temperature of the slab, which can cause deformation or cracking. Our company has a significant track record of supplying this flux delivery equipment to steelmaking plants both domestically and internationally.
